Dokja had been tired, repeatedly falling asleep after the Labyrinth had drawn them all into it, but he'd seemed to recover a week or so later. Perhaps his rallying energy is buoyed by the arrival of Yoosung, who's been staying with him in his cramped apartment.
The night before, Dokja had complained to Suyeong about everyone being on top of each other and how he was going to get one of the houses - "one of the short ones, so you'll feel comfortable," he'd told her with a grin.
The next morning, despite every attempt, he wouldn't wake. Catatonic and still as death itself, he'd been utterly unresponsive. The reason wouldn't become clear until a day later, when cracks began appearing in his incarnation body, bits of his stories spilling out before finding their way back inside him, as if sucked in. Some stories Suyeong knew he had, and some Dokja shouldn't have had yet, but were inside him now anyways.
Through it all: no reaction. No whimper, no indication of pain, just his eyes closed and hands on his stomach as he lay on the bed.
